Poet, peacemaker, minister and scholar, Newell teaches and preaches internationally on themes related to the sacredness of the earth and the oneness of the human soul. First Presbyterian Church will host Newell for lectures and a spiritual retreat October 26-28, 2018. View the FLYER for more information, REGISTER online, and PAY online. Questions may be directed to Deb Mitchell. If purchasing the John Philip Newell book, once purchased online, books may be picked up in the volunteer office. Registration deadline Oct. 24.
It's that most wondeful time of year when we have the opportunity to donate live and silent auction items to the beloved annual tradition, the Youth Auction! Boat rides, sports tickets, a season pass, a rare painting, a gift never opened... such are all the wonderful items that will go up for auction on November 18. Support the youth mission work & fund-raiser of our church. Email Becky Hagee with questions. Thank you!
Services are at 8:30 and 11:00 am in the sanctuary. Education Hour for all ages is at 9:30 and Coffee Hour at 10:30 am. For information about Sunday School for children and youth, contact Family Ministry Director, Miss Good. View the Family Ministry Calendar. For adults, there are three options. Through October 21, the Spiritual Growth Group will join Deb Mitchell's Adult Education in KC4a to read John Philip Newell's book in advance of his arrival October 26-28. Fellowship of the Bean is meeting in KC1a (while the ZW House is under renovation) and will return to the ZW House in the very near future. Stop by for donuts and coffee at 10:30 am each Sunday in Fellowship Hall.
Join us the second Wednesday of the month for Taize worship, 7:30-8:30 pm. This service of prayer, scripture and chant is co-hosted with St. Mary's parish.
