This summer the Stewardship and Finance Committee is piloting a text-to-give capability. We realize in 2019 many of us no longer carry cash or a checkbook, but most of us have smartphones (and love to use them). Use this new feature before worship, during the offertory, or after worship. Make a one-time gift, complete a payment towards your estimated giving total, or pay for a youth trip. Simply text the amount to 410.670.4808, set-up payment information, and begin! Questions? Email Dottie Ballard.
On Saturday, June 29, Annapolis will host the LGBTQ+ Pride Parade & Festival at noon at Amos Garrett and West Streets. FPC has a booth and will march. We need marchers and booth attendants to show the community our commitment to sharing the love of Christ in an open and welcoming faith community. Meet at the sanctuary doors on Duke of Gloucester Street at 11:30 am. RSVP to Didi Gundry, Elder, or Jackson Borges, Family Ministry Intern. Visit Pride Annapolis for information.
Join us each Sunday now through Labor Day weekend at 8:00 am for a "come-as-you-are," casual worship service in the courtyard. Or, join us at 9:30 am in the sanctuary for a traditional worship. Nursery care for infants through pre-k children is available at the 9:30 am service. Children are welcomed at both services. In the courtyard there is a red wagon with quiet activities for children. At 9:30 am, activity bags are available from the ushers. After the Time with Children message, children in pre-k through 1st grade may attend Children's Discovery for crafts and games.
Last year, Director of Music and Organist, Dr. Robert Muckenfuss, recorded a CD, "An Organ Tapestry," on our sanctuary organ. Sales of the CDs benefit the church Music Fund and may be purchased directly from Bob. Approach him after worship in the chancel any Sunday or email Bob. A suggested $20 donation is payable by check ("FPC"), cash, or online (under "music department").
This summer, the Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC) is meeting weekly. We designated our roles as follows: Chair, Helen Krone; Vice, Phyllis Crossen-Richardson; Internet Communicator, Jenn McDermott; Devotion Coordinator, David Williamson; and Scribe, Todd Pekel. We continued our work on the Ministry Information Form (MIF) based on the work of the Congregational Assessment Committee and congregational feedback at the listening sessions. We are honored to serve and continue to ask for your prayers as we walk humbly and proceed with thoughtful kindness. Visit the PNC page for monthly updates on our progress! – Sarah, Jenn, Helen, Brad, Todd, Dave, and Phyllis
