FAMILY MINISTRY
First Presbyterian Church warmly welcomes children and their families. Beyond Sunday mornings, we offer many opportunities for families to get to know each other and enjoy time together at special gatherings and mission opportunities offered during the year. We hope to see you soon!
CHILDREN
We have a wide array of programming for children ages 0-10 through our Sunday School program called Crossroads, which is offered on Sundays at 11:00 am. Children begin the service with their families in worship. After the Time with Children’s message, children are led to class on the third floor. On first Sundays, Jill Woodward leads Crossroads Choir then escorts children back to worship to receive Communion with the congregationa. On the following Sundays (second-fifth Sundays), Crossroads is led by wonderful teacher-volunteers. There is also fellowship offerings including “The Gups,” which meets for a meal and activities for grades K-5. Every summer we host a Vacation Bible Camp for grades Pre-K-5 in collaboration with other local churches.
YOUTH
Fellowship opportunities for youth grades 6th-12th include weekly gatherings, Confirmation, and mission trips.
PARENTS
Our desire is to minister to the whole family — siblings, pets, and parents. We offer parent groups for support and fellowship and periodically, a Parents’ Night Out.
