First Presbyterian Church offers a great space for youth in Grades 6-12 who gather to escape the pressures of daily life, make new friends, and grow in faith. Students come from more than eight area schools, which provides a refreshing change from day-to-day social groups and a new circle of fellowship. All are welcome to join us!

Sunday School
Classes for middle and high school students are offered in the Kinhart Center youth rooms from 9:30-10:30am.
Youth Fellowship
We offer a variety of recreational, service, and fellowship activities. Please see the youth calendar for upcoming fellowship events.
Youth Advisors
Volunteers are what make our youth program thrive. We welcome committed, faithful adults to interact with our youth on Sunday evenings as youth advisors, on Sunday mornings as Sunday School teachers, and during the Confirmation Class as Covenant Partners. If you feel called to participate in our ministry to youth, please contact Miss Good (miss@annapolis-presbyterian.com). All adult volunteers are carefully screened and are required to complete a Youth and Children Volunteer Application before interacting with youth.
Summer Trips
Mission trips and youth conferences are the highlight of our ministry to teenagers during the summer. High schoolers often head to the Montreat Youth Conference or Triennium while Middle Schoolers participate in the Massanetta Middle School Conference. Past mission experiences have included Broad Street Ministries in Philadelphia, Heifer Shepherd's Springs, English Tutoring in the Czech Republic, and the Iona Youth Festival.
Summer youth events are a great chance to enjoy time with old friends and make new ones while growing in relationship with God.
Communication
Please contact Miss Good, miss@annapolis-presbyterian.com, to sign up and receive a weekly Youth Event email blast.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the process of learning about the Christian faith, what it means to be Presbyterian, and how to grow in a relationship with God. During the experience, students participate in service opportunities, build a relationship with an adult mentor, and create a faith statement. Confirmands join the church on Confirmation Sunday, when they are received as full members during the 11 o’clock worship service.
Confirmation meets during our Sunday morning education hour from 9:30-10:30am. This experience typically happens in ninth grade, but is open to all high school students (grades 9-12) who have not yet been confirmed.
