Jesko Hagee is a 1995 graduate of the Naval Academy. Two months after graduation, he married the former Becky Dunn, a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. After 9 years moving up and down the east coast as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy, Jesko and his family settled in the Annapolis area and became active members at FPC. Jesko currently works at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. He has served as a member of the Stewardship and Finance Committee and as a church Elder. Jesko, Becky, and their two daughters currently live in Crofton.
Jennifer Dodd McDermott has been a member of FPC Annapolis since Feb, 2011 and is active on the youth ministry team working with the middle and high school youth. She has especially enjoyed being involved with the confirmation class and youth trips to places like Iona Abbey, the Heifer farm in Rutland, MA, and the Presbyterian Youth Triennium at Purdue University. Along with her husband, Mike, she is on the communications committee and helps out with the church website. She has worked on the MODIS instrument on board the Aqua and Terra satellites and more recently on the first Lightning Mapper (GLM) in Geostationary orbit that launched in November 2016.
RJ Porath has been a member of FPC since 2001. He has served as a Sunday School Shepherd and usher for many years. He is looking forward to serving on the Interim Pastor Search Committee and contributing to the direction of our leadership here at FPC.
A member since 1993, Connie MacDonald Scott has participated in many aspects in the life of First Presbyterian Church. She is an ordained Elder, serving two terms on the Session, chairing Worship Committee. She also served on Staff Committee as a Deacon. She was a member of an early Capital Campaign that involved development of the Kinhart Center and purchase of the organ. In the past, Connie worked on the Preparation for Ministry Committee and also represented FPC at Baltimore Presbytery. As a long-time choir member and Worship Chair, Connie believes that worship is a critical part of the church’s spiritual and community life, and it is a reason why she agreed to serve on the Interim Pastor Search Committee.
Pat Spencer has served as a elder and chaired Staff Committee which had oversight of both clergy and lay staff. Prior to that Pat served on the search committee for an Associate Pastor. Pat’s goals in serving on the Interim Pastor Search Committee are to find an interim pastor who will work well with Heather and will keep us moving ahead with the various internal and external programs we have underway. The interfaith action group that was recently formed is at a particularly critical juncture, and it is important for First Presbyterian to be actively engaged in shaping and carrying out the work of this group. This means our Interim Pastor will have a challenging job and we will need to choose carefully.
Rae Jean Goodman (ex officio) is currently on Session and the chair of Staff Committee. She has served on a previous PNC, Session and Trustees.
